In 1985 the Kansas City Royals ended their baseball season with a world championship. Then the Royals went on a drought for a very long lack. It took the Royals twenty-nine years to get back to the playoffs and into the world series. Fittingly, the city went wild when the Royals broke their playoff drought. In honor of their unbelievable accomplishment of making it to the 2014 playoffs, I created a 15-second clip promoting the offseason. The video shows the parallels between 1985 and 2014. The hunt is still the same for the Royals, and I wanted that to be the most visual aspect of this video.
Growing up in the Kansas City area, I have experienced and appreciated Royal’s fan base. For the past 29 years, the Royals fan have been showing up to The K to cheer on the home team. And now it’s time to celebrate their return to the postseason. This video does just that…
